BAYOU JACK - Services for Charles E. Whitacre were to be at 2 p.m. today in Church of Christ with Stanford Broussard officiating. Burial was to be in the church cemetery under direction of Rush, Marksville.
Whitacre, 80, of Bayou Jack died at 6 p.m. Sunday in his home. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Whitacre of Bayou Jack; two sons, Arthur Whitacre of Odessa, Texas, and lee Whitacre of Hermanville, Miss.; one daughter, Clara Reece of California; two stepdaughters, Lorene Andures and Ruby Andures, both of Morrow; two brothers, Claude Whitacre of Houston and Earl Whitacre of Friendswood, Texas; one sister, Nelly Bost of Friendswood, Texas; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
