Leon McKneely Jackson

A retiree from Allied Chemical and a resident and native of Denham Springs, Mr. Jackson died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at his home. He was 83 and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.


Visitation is at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, March 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel Wednesday, March 29, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Wybra Price. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery in Denham Springs.


He is survived by a sister, Minnie Allen, Denham Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Jacob Allen, Gerald M. Millet Jr., Lance Thomas, Will Thomas, James E. "Peck" Jackson III and Greg Parker.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Leon and Ollie McKneely Jackson; five brothers, Charles, Joseph, Harry, James and Phillip Jackson; and a sister, Mattie J. Millet.


He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Denham Springs, American Legion Post 178 and James' Grill Coffee Club.
