Hungarian Settlement is an unincorporated community in Livingston Parish.
Known as Arpadhon, the area is the site of the largest rural Hungarian settlement in the United States.
The settlers were attracted here in 1896 by the Charles Brakenridge lumber mill. These people bought cut-over timber land to farm and raise strawberries.
