A retired medical secretary in Plaquemine with 35 years of service and a resident and native of Plaquemine, she died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, at the residence of her son in Port Allen. She was 83.
Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 9 40 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at St . John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, at 10 a.m. Thursday, celebrated by the Rev. Stephen Hymel. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jude and Lee Mann, Denham Springs; a son and daughter-in-law, James L. Sr. and Kathy Brantley Talbot, Port Allen; a sister, Genevieve Blanchard, Baton Rouge; four grandsons, the Rev. Matthew John Rouse, Jackson, Miss., Jason Talbot Rouse, Denham Springs, James Louis "Jack" Talbot Jr., Walker, and Michael Jay Talbot, Port Allen; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Elizabeth and Joshua Rouse, all of Jackson, Miss., and Angelica Talbot, Rocky Mount, N.C.; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by husband, Louis Leonce "Jack" Talbot; parents, Desire and Pauline Rivet Daigle; and a brother, Emile Daigle.
