(submitted by Gerald & Tammy Westmoreland)

Johnny C. Hall was born on March 28, 1939 in Lillie, Louisiana and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2018. In his final hours he was surrounded by family and loved ones.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Hall and Eva Edna Dison Hall, his brother Gene Hall, and his sisters Brenda Hughes and Maudine Hall. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie Jean Hall, his daughter, Tonya Hall Thomas, his son, Theron Thomas Hall, and “favorite” daughter-in-law, Tonie Barber Hall, his sister, Patsy Ramsey and husband Verval Ramsey, his five grandchildren, Amy Marlowe and husband Ryan, Brandon Trainor, Corey Hall, Courtney Hall, and Callie Hall, and his two great-grandchildren Anderson and Elisabeth Claire.

Johnny was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was the anchor of our family and the most generous, caring man to all who knew him, he will be truly missed by everyone. Johnny was always the most unselfish husband, father, that always put his wife and children’s needs and wants before his own. In his later years, Johnny’s true passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren who he loved and cherished. While we have lost a remarkable man, his legacy will continue to live on through everyone who’s lives he touched.

Prior to the many medical challenges that Johnny faced, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his hands. He and his wife Jean also enjoyed being active members of the Blanchard Athletic club for 10 years. He was a loyal and dedicated employee of General Motors for 26 years as a master electrician and a proud member of the Auto Workers Union (UAW).

Pallbearers will be Brandon Trainor, Corey Hall, Ryan Marlowe, Greg Kirk, Aaron Kirk, David Day, David Anglin and Robert Thomas.
